It sounds easier to fix than a Whelen breaking it's rotator. Just replace the rotator motor.

we have t-128's in waco tx and whelens in hewitt tx but now the rotating whelens were replaced with 2001's.

So i dont wanna be like nosy or curious about the siren but…How in the world you got that whelen? Lol. I was actually gonna keep the old Irving sirens (if you seen my comment on your siren con video) but yea…again there was no space in my garage lol.

Here is a thing i was supposed to do like 4 years ago: So the one of the last EOWS 612s in Irving that they were gonna take then down…i was actually gonna tell them if i could like keep the siren (just the head of the siren) but…there was no room in my Garage to keep it…so yeah…😕

i know im nerd, but it didnt explode, it friction welded. thats the reason it was taken down in the first place and purchased. this siren was scrapped, RIP p-50.

I wonder why they’re doing that hiccup-y wind up. Sounds like the rotaty-weewoo part up or the motor got burned up Edit: I read up on it, and the siren had been decommissioned because it seized up due to fiberglass ingestion. The rotor was damaged because of the sudden stop before, so there were micro-fractures in it that couldn’t be found. The fractures opened up while the big bucket was goin’ wee-woo and it friction welded the rotor to the other part of the wee-woo that MAKES the wee-woo. Excuse me if I sound like a jackass.

RIP the big bucket.

P50’s are my fave, this sadly had to pass away infront of yall bcs a shard of fiberglass got stuck in the rotor 😢😢😢

OWS! ACA copied that tornado siren but different. You can look inside from the ACA one and it has square ones. Whelen has circle ones.
